Default Best fuel system for boost?

I am putting together a budget turbo build with a stock bottom end LQ4 and a 76mm turbo. I have a 99 camaro with a plastic tank so I was thinking of doing the Lonnies Performance double pumper kit with twin intake walbro 340's with a -8 feed, -6 return, and 80lbs injectors. I am going to run on pump gas and race gas for the track, no E85. Since I have a plastic tank I cant sump it, and from my understanding that means I cant run an inline pump correct? Are there any other options out there or is the twin intake kit the best bet?

I have a 2001 and did a in-tank 255 pump and then an external 340 pump that comes on at 1psi of boost.

I would do lonnies setup. A lot better than what I did in my opinion, this way you don't have extra stuff under the car.

Well did you get a sumped tank to run your inline 340 or did you just put a bulkhead fitting on the bottom of your tank and run that to the pump? Yeah I like the lonnies kit, just wanted to know my options before pulling the trigger on it.

You may not need twin 340's unless you are planning for much more power than the 80# injectors will get you.

Please call to discuss the details... so you are not buying incompatible components.

I am shooting for 800rwhp with C16 and even more when I actually build and forge the bottom end. I do agree I dont want to skimp when it comes to fuel or the fuel system. Either way it looks like I will be doing a twin in tank set up, weather thats with 255's or 340's.

i did a magnafuel 4301 with a nasty n8 sumped race tank with-8an feed and -8an return. overkill for my goals(700rwhp) but i like to have room to grow. my setup cost under $1500, i wired and installed all of it myself!

btw the nasty n8 sumped race tank is AWESOME! only need longer bolts for factory straps. I just didnt like the idea of relying on a 2nd pump, so 1 good pump will take care of my needs. These Magnafuel pumps have been proven on 1k+ rwhp cars.

Yeah I like those nasty performance fuel cells and systems! If I had little bigger budget I would do that in a heart beat.

I have twin 255's, stock lines/rails with a FPR, 80# injectors, on E85 and will be shooting for over 700 when I upgrade from my cheap 76mm.

Have you ran your car like that? I would think the stock lines and rails would choke it down and not have enough volume for E85. I was thinking of running a -8 feed and using my stock 3/8 feed line as a return.

Yeah I am def going to leave some room for growth as well with my set up. I am only going to run this 6.0 till it goes or needs a rebuild, then its on to a 370. If I had a 98 metal tank I would sump it and run a magnafuel inline pump. But since its a plastic tank I am just going to do a twin intank set up with a Hobbs switch.

I noticed your line sizes. The return on OEM setups seem to be smaller than the feed, yet when you look at an aftermarket bypass fpr the directions call for a return line greater than or equal to the feedline. I am a carb guy so 6.5 psi is what I am shooting for, which is considerably lower than a FI rig. Obviously choking the return down doesn't allow the fpr to function properly for low psi.. Is the return choke down an EFI high pressure specific thing? Just curious what that is all about. I figured that a free flowing system would promote cooler fuel without cavitation.

I went with Lonnie's 340 double pump set up, running 80lb injectors on gas. Didn't need the 340's but if I ever went E85 I wouldn't need to change the pumps.
