Default H/c swap need bigger injectors

I just did a h/c swap on my bolt on 02 ws6

Torque v2 cam
Stage 2.5 5.3 heads
433rwhp
397rwtq

My tuner told me that my injectors were 100% maxed out so my question is what injectors do you guys recommend I put on my car?

as long as you are not lean you dont need bigger injectors. Your car will run more consistent with the injectors you have.

Ed Wright (Fastchip, a reputable tuner ) just tuned my car and told me i was maxing out my injectors so if i did anything else to my engine i would need bigger injectors. He also stated that it would run more consistent like it is, so do not go and buy new injectors now. If your injectors are supplying enough fuel why do you need to go bigger?

My tuner said the stock injectors were just fine for now, but bigger injectors wouldn't hurt...what are the chances I can lay down a few extra ponies on the dyno with bigger injectors?

i'm just curious if you've upgraded your fuel pump yet? I'm looking at heads and bigger cam and was recommended fuel pump upgrade and MAYBE injectors

i believe you might maybe like 1 to 5 hp that is man because all your doing is allowing more fuel to be burned. At the same time that doesn't mean you need more fuel to be burned id ask your tuner and see what he says or just go and buy some and have it retuned. I say that because you may build it even more down the road and if you already got them now while the money is good then you wouldn't have to worry about getting them later.

I hope you get all the bugs worked out. I just got all the bugs out of my build last month, boy that was a big relief to finally be done. If you do get bigger injectors let me know if you gain any hp.

With mu mods in sig and #'s, I had my stock 28.8 injectors maxed out at 4500rpms. NOT safe at all, but made pretty good power. Why? Because leaner is meaner.

Optimal IDC is between 70 & 80%. At WOT with my Bosch III's (Supercharged Pontiac GTP injectors) I'm at 77% IDC.

These are 42# injectors @ 58psi

I run the same heads and cam as you OP, but with 42's. I am very surprised that you are not leaning out (even somewhat) at that power on the stock injectors

Like I said before I had a few bugs to fix on my car that are now squared away so I will go to my tuner again this weekend and I will see exactly where I am and what I need to finish up my tune....I'm kinda leaning towards the ford green top 42 pounders because I found a set of 8 for a pretty good deal, would anybody care to give their opinion about these injectors??? They came off of a 2000 lightning!

The ford injectors will work great for your setup. At a reasonable price with OEM reliability.
