Default LS1 fuel rails or aftermarket on LS6 intake swap??

Hi guys,

I have a 98 LS1. I recently bought the LS6 intake and coolant lines and did the valley cover conversion. Not sure if this stuff matters but i am using headers, LS6 head, LS2 TC, LS7 lifters/LS2 trays, and the TSP 228r 112LSA cam package. This is going into a 69 chevelle. I plan to get a FI tank from Tanks Inc. or similar.

My question:
I believe people have said the LS1 injectors and rails will transfer straight over to the LS6 but since im doing so much and making it all pretty I am trying to figure out what aftermarket fuel rails to get/shop for? LS1 or LS6 rails? which ones are affordable and recommended?

I also dont know much about the components that I will need included and the specifications so if someone can point me in the right direction or shoot examples of whats been done or what exact set up is right for me PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

What did you do with the ls1 intake? J/w and why did you have to change the coolant pipes and valley cover?

The ls6 intake Dosent fit with ls1 coolant lines, that's why he bought the rear block offs.

I think he's saying he did the ls6 valley cover, which greatly improves the pcv system.

The stock fuel rail and injectors should be fine for your setup. Maybe you could paint it if you want to make it look better?

I have nasty performance rails which are bad *** and built like a tank..

They have a high polished version/chrome set that look really nice..

Yea sorry, so I still have the LS1 intake which I have for sale on CL here in SF, CA. I just sold the LS1 coolant lines though. But yea I bout a LS6 intake andthe guy threw in the block offs. The valley cover conversion I did to improve the PCV system as stated.

So really I want to buy nice aftermarket fuel rails but nothing too crazy or overkill. Since I have the LS6 and think I can still just use the LS1 injectors for now, do I just buy LS1 or LS6 fuel rails or are both the same? I think I just search for LS6 fuel rails since its an LS6 intake right? Also, do I need some sort of guages and hoses or is a complete kit just the rails and the 1 crossover? thats what im looking to figure out. thanks for the replies so far.

Ls1 fuel rails will fit on the ls6 intake, for a NA engine under 600 hp the stock rails due just fine..

Aftermarket rails are merely cosmetic with a sub 600 hp car..

To hook aftermarket rails up to your stock fuel lines you will need a crossover and a few fittings..

Most vendors sell a stock connector kit to mate up to your fuel lines..

And no you don't need a gauge until you start fiddling with your fuel pressure..
