Default -An flare filters?

Hey I'm thinking of using a 100 micron flare pre filter as I have limited space.has anyone had any luck with these? This will be before x2 044s.
Cheers

I'm not familiar with a "flare fitting filter" but it is not recommended you run such a tight filter pre pump. You will be making your pumps work harder (pull) the fuel rather than push it like they where designed to do. I personally run one 30 micro pre pump and one 100micron post pump. Or in my particular case one 100micron Becuase my pumps are T'd into a single -10 line.

I'm not saying it's not possible but in theory you want to cause as little restriction as possible when feeding the pumps while still maintaining proper filtration. I too am running dual 044 pumps. I think if you read a bit more and do some research you will see the trend is small micron pre pump and larger micron post.

Yes I see where your coming from maybe I've got my microns confused. So the larger the number the finer the mesh element.

No. A 100 micron filter will trap particles 100 microns and larger in size, so it's definitely "looser" than a 10. Everything I've ever read says 100 pre-filter and 10 post-filter. This PDF explains the sizing. Random Google thread has good reading.

Your filter sizes are backwards.
Prefilter at 100M is fine. The 30M is good after the pumps.
" I think if you read a bit more and do some research you will see the trend is small micron pre pump and larger micron post." This comment is NOT correct. I'd suggest you not put out bogus info, that may well cause issues for others...

If that's the way you have it plumbed, I'd suggest you swap them around.

can be an issue when fueling is at the hi flow end...
Most mfgrs suggest not less than an 80M.
