I've used them before. A few things to look out for.
1. Take the screws out of the shaft and put some Loctite on them, so they don't back out and get sucked in.
2. Do a leak test with some starting fluid around the throttle body, the shaft seals aren't always the best.
3. Get something to coat the inside of the throttle and the blade with. The blades are often not aluminum and will rust and stick.
Other than that, if you get one that has the right mounting holes and all of the sensors hook up OK, you should be good to go.

We are using this one on two different vehicles and they work fine. One is bolted to a Holley Hi-Ram, the other is bolted to a Edelbrock Pro-Flo XT

Junk. Put one on a fast, tps had to be modified to work, and the blade hung up because the shaft had so much play. Idle issues a plenty. Buy a nick Williams. Fast ain't cheap and cheap ain't fast.
Oh BTW the Godspeed is the same as the 100 dollar one, they just Mark it up because they have a somewhat decent seller reputation and they figure if they put their name on it it's worth a few bucks.

I got one in a trade, new in the box. The metal tubing piece fell off when I pulled it out of the box...very loose fit. The blades stick about every third time you open and close them....not very high quality. I never bolted it on an engine.

I had a buddy a few years back out an obx or "cheap aftermarket" throttle body on his crx race car. One of the screws came out of the throttle blade and ruined a $8000 motor. I couldn't beleive what damage a little screw could do to a motor. But 10,000 rpm + screw = no good haha. Anyway at the bare mimimum put locktite on everything if you do decide you use one.

Thanks for all the replies. I will probably just pass on the cheapie TB. If this was an old beater motor or car, I would give it a try, but doesn't seem to be worth the hassle on a brand new engine starting from scratch.
I am just going to do it right the first time and call it a day.
