Default Fuel Question - SIze Injector and Pump or Pumps?

OK - IF I was to go with a 383 when I rebuild My motor What size injectors do you guys think I might need and what Fuel system Upgrades do you think It would require. I have a STS kit and low boost is gonna be set at 8lbs with High being around 15lbs. On High I will be adding meth. I currently have the racetronics pump and hot wire kit with 50Lbs Injectors and stock lines. SO what do you guys think?

Bigger injectors>?
Another in tank pump>?
Do I need to Upgrade fuel lines or fuel rails>?

I am looking to put at least 600 to the rear on high boost - or more?

I thank you in advance for your thoughts. Sorry for asking a question that has bin asked B4. Lata, Arkangel77

I think you'll need at least 60lbers depending on where you go with the boost.

Thanks for the reply - I did a calculation on the net and it said 58.somthing? So I figured at least 60's. For MY LT1 set up - do you know if I need to go with LOW impedance? I think I do? I am just looking for some input from you guys cause many have bin down this road already! Thanks Again, lata, Ark

High-imp mototron (or w/e the brand is) 60's should work well. For fuel pumps, I am a fan of sumped tanks and external pumps so I'd say go for the weldon 2015 w/ a controller (either weldon or aeromotive to cut voltage when you're not beating on it).

Yes the LT engines use the high Impedence version as it is what the factory puts in there to begin with.

You need the impedance that the circuit was designed for. If the LT1s were designed with high impedance injectors, thats what you need to run. Impedance mismatches = issues!

Ark, yeah I am goint to have to use the box. I only have the pump installed so far. The rest of the stuff are sitting in a box.

KB's are expensive. If you go to KB's website you'll see them there. Racetronix like the MSD version. I think its cheaper too?? Contact racetronix (they are a sponsor on cz28.com).

Right. rskrause on cz28.com made 700rwhp with a 383LT1 blower setup with the BAP and 255 intank. Just do a search on the FI forum on cz28.com. Lots more LT1 info there.

You got it ARK! Dont forget, he accomplished that with a S/C setup which consumers more fuel at a given hp level when compared to a turbo (due to the S/C parasitic losses). Since I believe you are turbo, you shouldnt have a problem. Here is what you probably will need:

60lb hgih impedence injectors
255 in tank
BAP

Good luck.

WELL I Just read what it does.

http://www.kennebell.net/accessories...boostapump.htm

I already have the Pump - I need to get some injectors BUT I already have the Racetronics Hot wire Kit. I know that it is NOT adjustable BUT it sounds like it sorta does the same thing? I need to do some more reading on this BUT How could that BOST-A-PUMP put out more that what the alternator is putting out and thats what MY pump is getting threw the Hot Wire kit - I think? ILet me know If I am missing something?

Thanks, Lata, Ark

I didnt realize you had the hotwire kit. Both give the extra voltage to the pump, so you should be fine with that. Sounds like you just need injectors. What regulator do you have?
