Default Walbro pump whining...on its way out?

The pump has about 18K on it and its starting to whine/hummmmm. Kinda sounds like the A.I.R. pump but in the gas tank.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Don't want to be left stranded on the road.

Get a bosch like Doug Rippie runs in alot of cars or a denso pump from a supra TT. Quiet nearly indestructable pumps.

http://www.dougrippie.com/drm/fuel_components.htm

That is'nt the only place to find that.....

Thats the thing though, it didn't whine before. It sounded like the A.I.R pump came on, you know the whistling whooshing sound, but i have removed it after installed my headers.

moot point now, I already bought a new one and in the process of installing it.

I commute 100mi everyday and don't want to run the risk of being stranded.
