Default T/B disassembly question

Can anyone tell me if there is a special torx bit needed to take the throttle body on an LS1 apart? The heads on the bolts look like a normal torx fitting, but they all have a pin in the center as if the end of the bit would have to be hollow.

I used an acorn shaped carbide bit to remove material, then sanded it all smooth with sandpaper, starting with 120 grit and ending with 600 grit. I then used 2" linen polishing wheels to polish it.

I stripped mine with a reg torx, and had to put a slot in and use a flat screwdriver and a little heat to get them out. i bought some stainless button head allen screws to put it back together.

The bolt heads that you are describing are tamper-resistant (pin-in-head) Torx fasteners. They make special bits for these bolts that can be found at Sears (easiest place). You can buy them as regular L-shaped wrenches, bits for hex drive tools, or bits that are attached to sockets.
