do the ta covers help any on a stock rearend

They claim that they do. Go to www.highperformancepontiac.com and look under maximum effort for gen 10 bolt. I believe it's on the front page toward the bottom. There's a complete write up about strengthening the stock 10 bolt. Hope this helps.

I also have one for sale. Im upgrading to a 9". I feel this t/a cover helped keeping the 10 bolt alive. pm me if still interested

They will only help out so much...which isn't much at all. I wouldn't rely on one to hold up your stock 10 bolt

that is true.. only reason i got mine is because i got it for 75 bucks with the fluid and everything..

didnt have the money for a 9inch or 12 bolt at the time..

its held up 1.5 sixties pretty well.

Been doing some reading. Seems like putting a band-aid on a severed leg. Just going to throw that in a " 9 inch" account. Maybe I can get another year out of it and will have the funds then to pull the trigger.

i think with the stud kit on the bearings it could be beneficial but not prevent it from breaking.
