Default pinion angle

how can the pinion angle get messed up on stock suspension?

i broke a drive shaft in half last year at the track and then i put in a steel one(only thing i got) and now the steel one twisted and broke off on the dyno on sat and took out my ebrake cables

my question is,
a)
why would this happen?
b)
could the pinion angle do this?(purty sure it could right?)
b)
how can the pinion angle get messed up on stock suspension?

yes, pinion angle could definitely play a part. The stock torque arm may be bent. The torque arm is the sole piece in charge of setting/maintaining pinion angle.

no man, thats crazy ****! Yea, but a bent torque arm is the most likely way for you to have a shift in pinion angle on a stock setup. Any numbers before the breakage?

Take a look at this video if you have any questions on how to set up your pinion angle.

The stock torque arm is known for bending approx six inches ahead of the rear. Check out the pictures of this one. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...php?service=58 Bob

I think my prob may be pinion angle also, I watched the BMR vid but am still unclear as to where to measure and if I need to purchase a new adjustable tourqe arm. High speed vib at the track. Fbod w/t56 ground cntrl susp w/ koni's, factory rear. The DS is measureing 0 and the rear seems to be 2deg +
can I shim up the the trans and lift it up since I think the xmem I fabb'd my br making everything off.
