New Rear
I found my new rear. Actually its a used 10 bolt but it was cheap and has low miles. My question is my stock a4 is tuned to 3.23s and my new rear has 3.42s. Can I run my car for a while before I can get it tuned to its new gear or do I need to run and get it tuned fast?

If I had my choice I would go with 3.73s. But with my given options and amount of money I have to put into it, Im going with whats available. The guy is selling me a used low mileage rear out of a 2000 model camaro for $300. I can't beat that.

Most tuners would be chill about a quick pick me up. Nothin too difficult. I know someone who tried this but went from 273's to 410's haha almost doubled every mile!

how much will your speedo be off. . .
Your car is used to 3.23s and the new one is 3.42, so the percentage difference is .94444, so when you used to go say 65mph, you're going to actually be going 61.38 now. . .
unless I totally screwed up the math and you could be going 68.8, but you'll figure it out pretty quick. VERY VERY minor either way.

Well I looked everything over on my rear and compared it to the new one and it all looked fine but the axles are different and my rotors wont wont because the bolts are to fat and not long enough. Also my brakes wouldn't mount to it because the mounts are about an inch to short.
Does anyone have a rear end they would like to sale?
