Default Well it had a good long life!!!!!

10 years and 124,000 miles a few 1.6 60ft's and a ton of 1.9 60fts! I has has 413whp going to it for around 40kmiles now. I was on my way to TGI Fridays tonight on interstate and punched it from 60mph roll and everything felt fine and when i was slowing doing i herd knock knock knock. 1st i thought i spun a bearing. Then when i came to stop i revved it up and nothing. Its not the motor. Went to take off and it was jerking and grabbing bad. The old stock 10 bolt just couldn't take it anymore I creeped it home about 7 miles and it road fine just making noise. When i got home and got behind the car and i smell rear oil. Then i look at the T/A diff cover and the busted with the powder coasting flaking off of it. Time to find out what im going to do. I might have to throw another 10 bolt in it to get by. My original plain was to do a narrowed midwest 9" but i don't have that cash flow tight now. What sucks is today i sold a car for $650 and i was going to do some billet fuel rails and some lower a-arms for my BMR k-member i have that i may have to sell now. oh well.

Well that sucks. Guess if you don't have the funds just do another 10 for now but don't put any money in it.

well the gears look good! a few of Ring gear bolts were backed out and i could move them with my fingers. But that was not broken. Some of the bigger bolts on the carrier bolt broke off. It looks like all it needs it to be tighten down and the bolts that were broken need to be pulled out and new bolts added.

Missing bolts. I found the 2 bolts

THe loose ring gear bolts

Well here goes round 2 3,000 miles later. I told myself to replace the other 2 bolts while i was at it and i didn't. Do now i have to do this all over again! One of the factory bolts came out again and broke off splitting the T/A cover again So now i have to pull the wheels, brakes, axles, and carrier back out and get out the broken bolt and put a new one back in! Oh well at least its nice out LOL almost

LOL, you have some good luck my friend. Only person I have seen have 10-bolt issues like this & still be able to fix it very easily for very cheap & keep rockin.

I'd start saving for the 9" now though man.

Why the locker and not a spool? I hear the locker sucks with manuals because they have way too much lash and feel clunky when you shift.
