Default problems with 9in

i bought a brand new 9in a couple of months ago for my 2000 ta, ever since i installed it i have had the worst noise coming from the rear end. i dont have a clue of what it is, i thought it was a bad gear setup so i pulled the center section out and had it setup again, put the center section back in and still have the same noise. well i pulled it out and bought another brand new gear but a different brand gear and had it installed and put it back in the car again and still have the same noise. now i have no clue what the hell is going on and where to look as to figure out whats going in and making all this noise, the noise in speaking of is louder than the radio with the windows down when im driving down the road at 60mph PLEASE HELP

the first gear that was in the car was a richmond 4.11 and the second one i bought was a motive 4.11

How bad is it? Seems everyone has a different scale of bad. I have some noise in mine but I deem it more like " know it is there" noise rather than " this thing is like a train coming". I actually like the noise a little! LOL

it sounds like the train is coming, you can hear the rear whine over the radio playing and the windows down when your driving down the road at 60 mph

If it is that loud then it is most likely coming from the ring and pinion. You can take two sets of gears, set them both up with the same tolerances and patterns, and one can end up loud and the other one can end up quiet. Luckily the loud ones don't happen all the time. Bob
