Default how to tell if rear end axle bearings are shot?

i get a weird vibration now when going down the highway and doing a lane change to the left or a sweeping left turn. one theory was maybe the axle bearings are worn? creates play? how can one tell? or am I way off base?

usually u can tell if you hear a grinding. So when you turn you can tell wich side it is.

Does this happen during acceleration, coasting or cruising?

... Due to the very few details listed in the post I am going to say I had similar problem after finding and correcting excessive backlash the situation improved but did not go away completely. Looking for more solutions.

See if this will help:

You'll have to jack the car up and check for play at the axle

Default Moser 12 bolt

my rear wheel started making a noise then the right wheel was hot and smoking. thought the bearing might have seized so I parked it then drove a few hours later and the noise was gone/wheel was not longer smoking???

Early indications of a bad bearing? Ebrake problem?

Jack it up just so it's off the floor a bit and see if you have any movement front and back and up and down, not the in and out play
