Default PST Driveshaft 1200hp. Nope. Twisted Yoke!

Yep, twisted 1350 yoke on an Aluminum PST 1200 hp driveshaft.
See for yourself.
No wonder it won't go into the transmission tail shaft.

You know the kinda places everyone swears by...

I even see big time performance names in the industry put there names on boxes made here and the part inside is a piece of china junk....

until you have one in your hand and can prove it inferior, then keep your accusations to yourself. I have personally seen Spicer do exactly the same thing in 400 hp street car. PST manufactures a very nice driveshaft and this is the first time I have seen this and we sell hundreds of them a year.

Well ask the poster to show a pic, from what i can SEE it looks like china junk to me...

I never had a spicer yoke do that in 1500hp, or with 2600 ft lb trucks....and most definitely not a 400hp dd sc....
Seems you might be thinking you had spicer and instead have china knock offs..

You don't want proof....trust me..

Looks like you got a bad yoke - have you contacted PST? I have a feeling they'll take care of you.

It is a Spicer yoke and yes PST is taking care of it.\
CORRECTION: The yoke may not be a spicer yoke.

i had one do the same on my PST last year, so it's definitely not the first time that this has happened. PST did take care of me & shipped me a new yoke & i was able to keep the old one. this was in a 412 rwhp stick car. the new yoke they shipped was in a Strange Engineering box. this year, i oblonged the
cap holes in the driveshaft, so i just ordered chromemoly one. PST took care of me on the yoke, but I didn't want another one of their driveshafts,so i went elsewhere. their 1200 or 1000 hp rating is a joke though.

Ob-longing the holes is usually from using the wrong universal joint....

See the issue there is most shops are thickheaded and think you can use non coated caps in AL weld yokes..... for street use.... not so...

Another thing....watch the boxes fellas...it is very easy to copy and print...

The yoke only has CAM798 cast in it, same looking yoke and SAME casting number as used on the Ebay stuff.

Now I wonder what is going to show up in the mail?

Should be a spicer yoke, you know with a Spicer cast name and all. Like this.
What a way to save $30!

$30.... that china pos costs him $6......

I wasn't lying to you...i can see that china stuff a mile away....

When you get a REAL Spicer, look at it the same way you took the picture of that china crap...also known as century automotive machine.... or as i refer to it Garbage all machined to a different tolerance and inferior metal.... you'll see the machining differences big time...

Don't worry though.... pst isn't the only one.... i could list a bunch of big names... only difference between some big names is the better advertising...

This is what is ruining the U.S.A.

Did you notice how they changed the casting slightly to get away with directly copying spicer....
Most china junk is cast along the side on slips and Spicer is down the middle...

Oh yeah... ssvert99, there is your further proof since you didn't trust my experience and eyes...

The Spicer yoke is ONLY $65.. why would they put the junk yoke in there and risk it. Not the best way to save a buck.

So how many of you have a PST and what Yoke do you Have?

Why.... because most people aren't making power to twist that pos stuff and at $6 they'll just ship out another $6

A lot of times they shatter...

This is business in the U.S.A. today... get the **** cheaper...have it copied in china and screw the original company that made the mold and design and testing...

Well, Guess who got another CAM 789 yoke to replace the twisted yoke.
I very shocked that they didn't atleast replace those who twist them with a Spicer yoke but guess business is business.
Anyone want a PST Aluminum driveshaft?
1200hp rated, new yoke!
