Default 9" + Stock length DS + Long Pinion yoke = WTF

So i recently stepped up to a 4.30 gear in my 9". It originally had the short pinion yoke, with a stock length ds, so it was a little too short for comfort.

I then bought a long (5") pinion yoke, to correct for the short ds.

Put the center in yesterday, and the damn DS is too long to fit!

Any thoughts?!

Turns out the splines on the slip yoke on the drive shaft are twisted. SOO I'll be ordering a new one.

The shaft is a Denny's Nitrous Ready. I don't think I'll be upgrading

What kind of a slip yoke was it originally?

How many HP are you making? I assume you're an M6?

What did Denny's say about the twisted splines?
