Default Where can I get tools to rebuild 10 bolt?

I already have gears and install kit. Where can I rent bearing puller, dial indicator, inch lb torque wrench, things to install the bearings, and anything else I need. I thought I would be able to rent this stuff from autozone or O'Reillys, but it seems like they don't have any of it. And if I have to buy the stuff where is the best place to buy it.

You need a dial indicator and base. HF $25 on sale.

Beam style inch/pound torque wrench. Search ebay. I got mine for about $60.

Bearing seperator for the inner pinion bearing:

This is for the wheel bearings:

Ok, thanks I got everything figured out except how to put the bearings back on. I figured I would just use some pipe like in the pic above and hammer them back on. So where would I get some pipe like that?

I had a local machine shop remove the pinion bearing for me and then reinstall it later. Really cool guys, they answered a lot of questions I had. They even let me borrow an oversized bearing to do a mock up with my pinion shim. And they let me borrow a big tool to hold the pinion yoke while I crushed the collar.

Have a machine shop press them on.

I figured you guys would say something about needing a press. Does anyone hammer them on or is it just stupid to do it that way?

Why risk tearing something up? BC it would take a big damn hammer to get them on.

Hammer and Pipe is old school back yard mechanics way of doing it. Damage can happen with this method. Easier and safer to have machine shop pull and press bearing.

Buy a cheap press. Thats what I did. I got a 12 ton for $130 brand new. Have used it a ton of times since and rebuilt at least half a dozen 10 bolts with it.
