Street Driving A Spool.
Who does this? I plan on getting one with my rear and driving on the street a decent bit about every weekend its nice out. My dad and my friend says you cant do it but I talked to a few guys down cruise week (a big car show on the east coast) and they drove their m9's with spools to and from the beach. I dont really care about how hard it drives on the street as long as it can with out any risk of breakage and it can still drive on a normal road.

I want a spool so bad, but I drive my car too much, I dont think itll be worth it.
From what ive read tire selection has a lot to do with how harsh it is.
So be sure to get advice from people running similiar tires.

If most of your driving is rural or on highways, you'll seldom notice that you have a spool back there. If you do a lot of inner city driving then you may not want a spool. With a spool you have to approach u turns as if you're towing a trailer behind you, as the car will want to understeer and will want to continue to plow forward. Bob

Well where I live its pretty rual and when I have to go into Baltimore I take my cobalt. I also think the last time I parallel parked was for my license test lol. Im driving on 28" radials right now I think I am going to stay with the spool.
