Default what gears.

hey guys i have a 99 t/a and dont know what gears to get, should i go with motives? or richmond? and i was thinking 3.73 for sure but whats yalls input on 3.90?

A4 or M6? What are your Current mods and is it a daily driver? A4, I'd go with GM 3.73 and if it's a M6 I'd go with GM 4.10. Either way, I'd stick with GM gears.

its an a4. ok and where would i find gm gears? this may be a dumb question lol but all ive seen on different sights are richmond and motive.

I got my GM gears from a local shop. You might try Jaws gear & axle who is a sponsor on here. Definitely go with 3.73's

SLP=GM=AAM, they are all the same.

I personally have used Motive's a bunch of times and have had very good luck with them.

If it was not an A4 car I would say not to bother. 3.73's are nice 4.10's are fun. Depends if your setting the car up for the 1/4 mi.

Also converter choice is important and sometimes a bigger impact to bottom line results.

3.73 would be a good choice aong with a Yank series stall. Mybe like a SS3600

All gears are created equal. It doesn't matter if they are made in the states or oversea's

yea thats the stall im lookin at getting ss3600 and i just got hooked up by a buddy with a brand new set of motive 3:73's so ill be ordering the install kit soon and getting them installed... as far as the stall goes, ill wait till i get my built tranny cause mine has too many miles on it...
