12 bolt or 10?
Whats going on guys. I got a 98 camaro z28 auto with a 323 aurburn 10 bolt in it right now. It leaks from the pinion seal, the outer bearings make a ton of noise, and i can only get a 1 tire fire out of it so i think my limited slip is gone. I got mods on my car now slp lid, tune, long tubes, no cats, and a couple of other things. I was just wondering should i go with a 12 bolt or stick with my 10 bolt. And should i upgrade to a 342 or what? I know the only one that will bolt straight up is another 10 bolt but is the 12 bolt worth it and what year vechile should i get it out of?

I have 3.73's in my 98, with my A4 I run 2300 rpm going down the highway... with dumps lol.
With stock or full exhaust it wouldn't be bad in the cabin. Definitely livelier with those 3.73s

At this point either is a good option. A ten bolt would be easier on the budget, but a 12 bolt is gonna give you room to grow. If you decide going with a 12 bolt let me recommend contacting Carl @ CRP and pick up a Strange unit. Here's one I did recently:

Well i am am probably going to go with a 10 bolt with 342s just because i dont have money for building a 12 bolt lol. But any recomendations for building a 10 bolt to get it ready for the track/street use. And stand up to a little power?
