Default Lakewood DS Loop not fitting..??

Wasn't quite sure where to post this, but I guess technically it is a bolt-on. I bought this one specifically to clear the FLP y-pipe. Well, it doesn't seem to even fit the car. Take a look at these pics:

It is hitting the bottom of the car. I cannot move the mounting brackets all the way forward because of the y-pipe, but it would still be hitting the bottom of the car. I cannot start the bolts even with it hitting the floor due to the holes not lining up properly. Has anybody else had this experience? I bought this loop used..does it possibly look bent? I guess the LG Motorsports loop is my only other option...it is the only other one that I know of (from searching every forum known to man) that will clear the FLP y-pipe.

Try flipping the bracket that mounts to the body end over end so that the mounting location is farther back in the trans tunnel.

Thats how to mount the body brackets correctly. It moves it farther back in the tunnel for clearance.

You might wanna get some weatherstrip cement and
a piece of inner tube, etc. and glue a "buzz pad" to
the DSL where it's up against the sheet metal. That
should make it "quiet enough" if it's still touching
after you flip the brackets.

Yes, I am in the process of painting it. It is on primer right now.

Like I said guys, I have had the brackets on both ways...it hits in both instances. FWIW, the Lakewood instructions show the brackets being installed like I have them in the pic.

Thanks for the pics and help..I appreciate it.

my loop slightly touches the floor. No buzzing. Lakewood fits well and solid.
