10 bolt problem. Need help.
So I have my stock 10 bolt in my camaro still and need to replace the wheel bearings. It already has the wheel saver bearings in it and now I can't get the axles to slide in enough to get the c clips to come out. I have tried everything to get them in enough but have failed. Is there anything you guys can think of to help? Thanks in advance.

Maybe try this:
Get one of those big square vise grips (the ones where the jaws are 6" or so U-shaped) and clamp the axle flange to the backing plate with a good amount of pressure. Then take a heavy rubber mallet (or a sledge hammer and a piece of wood as a buffer) and tap the end of the axle inward. The vise grip should keep the axle from bouncing back as you tap on the axle. Hopefully you get it to move enough to get the c-clip out.

No I did not remove the abs sensors. Yes I believe I did remove the center block. I'm going to get some new axles from a friend out of his lt1 camaro for free. Will those work?

Crap, I should have thought about the ABS sensors. I had to remove those from a 2000 Z28 rear end I tore down before I could get the axles to slide inward far enough to drop the c-clips. I'm used to working on the older stuff and having occassionally use a bit more force that usual.

I will second this. You MUST take the abs sensors out. Hopefully you didn't bang on the end of the axle in an attempt to force them in further and mess the abs sensor up that would be bad.
P.S. - I know this for a fact because I just disassembled my 10 bolt and the abs sensor was stopping them from going in completely.
