Anyone have 4.10 in their rear? What is the rpm at 70 in OD?

A4 in 4th gear with convertor locked at 70mph is a true 2650rpm. the factory dash tach typically indicates 150-200rpm above true rpm,so adding that you would see 2800-2850rpm off the dash factory tach.

That's crazy and maybe a bit higher than I wish. Right now with the 2.73 gears I'm at 1800 rpm at 70mph

I ran 4.56s' for 4 years in my A4,a very wicked 1st and 2nd gear. True rpm was 3000 at 72 mph. Even took 4 trips to Florida from Ohio with the 4.56s'. The computer handled mpg well. 24.5mpg at freeway legal speeds with the OEM 3.23s',21.5mpg with the 4.56s'. RPMs don't bother me. If you consider 1000rpm as the low end of the operating range and 6000rpm as the upper range,3500rpm is the middle of the designed range. One time coming back on I26 across S.C.,hooked up with a fast moving group of cars and was in cruise control at 4000rpm for about an hour.
