12.9 best, 1.98 best 60', 8.47 best 1/8th, trap 108.75mph

this is on stock converter, stock 2.73 rear, bald street radials, Ls1 intake, 3750+lbs

mods: lid/midlength headers/dynomouth exhaust/FTRA/HPP3/ASP crank pulley

the 2.73's arent a bad gear as much people think. lower cruising rpm's, but suck from a roll. Good gas mileage and easier on the rear end when you start getting into high power levels

what was the rest of your setup?
that was with PI 2800 and original 4l60e with trans-go, Vortech non intercooled with a 2.5" pulley, Bone stock heads and cam, Mac headers with cats into mufflex.

Have not run the car since adding the spooled 9" with 3.50 gears, better valve springs with home ported heads, no more cats and weight reduction and a big FMIC for the blower. Hoping it runs mid 10's around 130..

2.73 gears are actually pretty good through the 1/8th. After a 100mph or so once in 3rd gear, then they need a lot of midrange power to pull them strongly.
Back when the car was NA, I ran low 12's at mid 113mph with home ported heads and a hotcam. I would only use 1st and 2nd gear locking the converter in 2nd around 5000rpm to run up to about 6500rpm through the traps and pull close to 114mph in 2nd gear.

11.88 @ 114.01 was my best when I switched.

Midwest 3200 stall, lid, off road y, Hoosier QTP's and a 100 shot dry in a 98' with 105K miles and stock LS1 intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, etc.....

My best so far was 119mph with at 1.79 60' time
No signs of trouble from it yet, but I'm changing rears in the spring to be safe.

Check the sig...If I'da shucked the passenger seat and the extra 30 lbs of fuel I
had, 11.30s all motor are in the bag. Like SJH said, the car only starts to struggle after the 1/8th.

I stopped telling people about the 2.73s. They give me the BS look
