Aluminum or HD steel driveshaft?
If I decide to get a new/better shaft, which do u guys recommend, aluminum or steel. Its an all bolt on heads/cam with a high stall with a pretty hard STR (Ill prolly just run dr's on it); or, should I just hope the stock one fits and leave it in (will it be strong enough?).

i have one of those; but will the stock driveshaft hold up for my car's power on a pretty hard hitting converter (high 11's on dr's); if it will, I can save some needed money

Don't cheap out,I did and regret it.When running low 12's I launched at 4K and scattered my local built driveshaft, the "HD u-joints" they installed split in half and destroyed my forged 12 bolt yolk, brand new adjustable edelbrock T/A [installed the night before]and bent some teeth on the ring gear. The spohn/BMR or a sponsor driveshaft is a complete setup with true HD joints/balanced shaft and forged trans yolk.Seems you have your mind made up anyway but I say steel.

I wanted something like a Spohn Extreme, or a Denny's nitrous shaft. But I needed on in a hurry, broke my stocker 2 days before a big race. Ended up getting an LPE 3.5" Aluminum for Something like $269. I was worried @ first, but with many, many, many 6K+ RPM dumps on slicks with it & some pretty good 60's out of it, the lingenfelter one seems just fine for now.
