Default any body with 4:10's and a bottle?

Well just got done doing a search, and i didnt come up with anything really...The question i had was in an M6....can you run 4:10's and a 100 shot?? I know you could run out of gear at the end of the track but still, The bottle would only be used every once in a while, since the car is on the street 90% of the time...hince the 4:10's...if i was at the track more i would go smaller gear and bigger shot...

thanks for your responces

Oh and if anybody here is doing this how do you like it??

Really?? Did you drive your car on the street as much?? Any info you have would be very helpful...IE, Did you run out of gearing, I am asumming it was fast as **** with the 4:10's and bottle ??

Its just that people always say youll run out of gearing?? Did it happen to you?

What other mods do you have? I think on a 26" tire if you are trapping 120 it would be about 6400 rpm. My car has 4.10's on a 100 shot I trap around 130, but I use a 28" tire at the track.

it depends on how fast you intend on going and how high you want te rev your motor to find out if you can make it on 26';s or if you have to switch to 28's.

in my car with 26's at 6800 it would cross the traps at 128. put on some 28's and your up to 138. 10 mph may not sound like alot but thats ALOT of mph.

DAMN..I really didnt know there was that much difference in switching. I will run the car on the streets so is there going to be as big of a difference on traction as well as the mph on the street??
I am really new to the tire sceen. I always thought a 26 would be fine but as said alot, you learn something new everyday

26/28*4.10=3.81

Switching to a 28" tire from a 26" tire effectively reduces the 4.10 down to 3.81

With my M6 4.11s in the 9" and a 28" tire, it was perfect for the 1/8 and the 1/4. I was crossing the traps at the top of 3rd in the 1/8 and top of 4th in the 1/4. This was with a 6600 rev limit.

It went 10.71 @133 in the 1/4 with a crappy 60' on a 200 shot

I hope this helps.

i do i do...theyre nice...especially with a set of DR's...just hammer it while spraying...the car flies.

im currently running a 26 inch tire with a cam and 150 shot..went 11.4 at 123.

i never ran with the power in my sig, but im gonna most likely switch to a 28 inch tire.
