Default My '67 Camaro Rear Options

Hey, i've got a 67 camaro with a LS1 out of a '99 vette on its way, with a WS6 M6 tranny. My car was a 327 4bbl, 4spd muncie originally, it's got a 10 bolt with single leaf springs, i'm pretty sure it's got 2.73's in it. Im really worried about it fragging as soon as it takes any type of clutch drop .... I think a 12 bolt will do me fine. I'm thinking 3.73's would be great. I'm not real knowledgeable on rear ends. I'd love to have something that i'd just bolt in. Maybe adjust the spring perches to acommidate multi-leafs if necessary. I really need some suggestions here. Also, i'm on a budget. What's the best bang for my buck. Gotta be a posi. no embarrassing peg-leg burnouts on a muscle car
thx
olly

The artical says that only the ’72-’75 Nova had the right rear end for the swap.

Looks like it should be a relitively cheap and easy swap, glad to help.

Actually, the 10 bolt rear that they're talking about for my firstgen- is recommended because of not having to modify the spring perches, or the brakes, or axles. The width is just right too. I have no idea dude. I'm not clueless, but i have no idea about the 4th gen rear. (except that its 10 bolt aint strong either)

Either way, there's three huge wrecking yards nearby, an ecology, a pick-n-pull, and one other. Finding what i'm looking for will be no problem at all.

Only thing in common to the 4th gen's 7.5'' 10-bolt is the "10-bolt" name.

The 67-69 camaros had a weak 8.2'' 10-bolt.
