4$ driveshaft strap costs me $375
so basically I was on a trip from sacramento to LA on the 5 and was doing fairly well until I hit the grape vine. As I hit the grapevine I felt a slight vibration which immediatly turned into a grinding noise and I immediately thought It was a flat and was riding on rim.
under further inspection, I seen that my driveshaft was really loose and it was getting dark outside.
Summary: had to pay dealership 80$ labor, and 120$ on a new U-Joint and Driveshaft strap. but had to pay tow truck driver 175$ for a tow to Bakersfield. Also spent trip money on motel 6 which was another 50$, so it actually ended up being 425$
......Im done ranting.

After you install the straps check to be sure the ends of the straps are tight against the yoke. If not the u joint is not fully centered and seated. That or someone left them loose.

Which one is the "Grapevine?" I know it is a highway but wondering which one.
