Default help me figure out whats wrong *click click click*

While driving today (cruise was set) i heard a small clunk. Didn't think much of it because i didnt hear anything else out of place for the next 10 mins (rest of the ride home). I later went to work out and its this VERY loud clicking sound. almost goes away when off the gas. When we lifted the rear and tried to spin the wheels...they would spin but every full resolution they would get "stuck".

Im waiting for the rear to cool so i can drain the fluid and take a look at it. Does it sound like it can be the gears? maybe a tooth chipped?

Got a torsen? Something probably went awry... i.e. the worm gears in the carrier.

Hmm. Well if it is getting hung up and not turning, it should be obvious when you take the cover off tomorrow...maybe you lost a tooth or two. Good luck!

The pinion? No you will need to buy both the ring and pinion. Now would be a good time to change gear ratios, if you were ever planning on it. Make sure you get a master installation kit also to change all the bearings.

If this is your first time you might want to get it done or have someone there that knows how to shim and set it up for it will wear with a correct pattern. If not it will whine like a sob . Just my .02
