10 bolt launching question...

10 bolt launching question... All I have is a lid, cutout, subframes, and the car will be on m/t et streets (drag radials). Im trying to find out what would be a safe...a really safe launch for my stock 10 bolt. I was thinking about reving up anywhere from 2-3000 rpms and easing out on the clutch. Do yall think this is pretty safe for my 10 bolt?

M/T drag radials are some sticky tires. My a4 car has held up so far with those tires. Although, I don`t expect it to last much longer. I`m already having some bearing noises. With an M6, I wouldn`t expect it to last very long

You have 3 possibilities basically:
1. Tires break loose
2. Clutch slips
3. 10 bolt =
If #1 or #2 don't happen, expect #3 to happen.

Ya if you have a stock clutch you have a better chance of not snapping something . I got some track time out of my old 10bolt but it wasnt going to last forever

Safest way to launch would probably be to leave off idle, or no more then 1000-1200 PRM. You'll probably bog and cut a shitty 60', but if you want the absolute safest way, that should give the least amount of shock to the rear. Rev higher then that, on a prepared track with DRs, it'll toast the rear in no time. Just leave like you're driving off from a green light on the street, then floor it after you fully engage the driveline and start moving.

You might as well just save your $15 and not even go to the track then.
Just face the music guys...a 10 bolt is borrowed time, especially on a M6. Keep that in mind. As long as you realize the 10 bolt is not going to last forever, you won't be as surprised when it breaks. I got lucky with mine, it lasted for well over 200 passes leaving at 4,000-5,000 rpm launches on an M6 car. The torsen finally gave way when I got new mickey thompsons. Oh well. Bought a 12 bolt the next day.

He asked for the safest way to launch and keep his stock rear. Didn't ask if it was worth it or not, or how to get the best time. How else would you launch at the track with safety in mind, not the best time.
