Default Rear-end options?

Guys what options do we have if any on getting a stronger rear-end in the LS1 besides spending $2000. Is there no other option besides spending $2000 on a complete rear. Of course I won't spend a bunch of $$ on the 10-bolt as I know thats not money well spent. Thanks.

I am in the process of rebuilding mine. Heres what I am doing to it at this time:
1. Trutrac posi with 27 spline for 3.23 and up gears. I hear from many sources that this is a tough posi unit that can hold up to street/mild to moderate track duty. $375.00
2. New 27 spline Superior axles, bearings. $160.00, Mosers go from 235.00-$299.00
3. Complete Install kit for Posi unit between $90.00- $123.00
4. Ring and pinion if needed about $196.00, maybe found cheaper.

This is going in my daily driver to strengthen up my stock 10 bolt Which I grenaded along with a stock 4l60E tranny at our last track outing. Replaced Tranny this past weekend with a Level 2 Performabuilt Tranny to avoid future issues with tranny, which is why I can't afford a 12 bolt at this time, lol.

It doesn't have anything to do with saving up. I'm just wanting to know if you have no other options than to spend $2000 for a rear-end on these cars?

Simple answer...no, but it would be nice if there was.
