Default my used 4.10s whine

I am sure I have them set up right. Could this be because of them being used and not knowing the exact wear pattern? Like tooth to tooth. It's not real loud but I can hear it after I hit like 60 or so.

Could be that they are either not set up right or they have worn a certain way that makes noise.

Fluid doesn't cause a whine.

if youve installed several before have they all been the same type?, all gears have a tendancy to whine....mine do with no load around 50-60 when just cruising

I have set up three 10 bolt rear ends with 4.10' all wined. I know they were set up right, I have done many R&P's on Jeeps. There is just something about the 10 bolt?

Mine have a slight wine that is easily overlooked. Setting up used gears is very difficult to do compared to new.

All the Dana 30's I did with 4.10's were dead silent.

Yea I wonder if it is because of the used gears. Like another guy said, they may of whined a little before. It's not very loud at all. With the windows down i can't even hear it.
