the center section yes you can use it.. you know the differential, gear- yoke

the housing you wouldnt use. the housing from the truck dont have the correct brackets to install and would take intense fab work to work .

if that center out of the truck has a good gear and differential get it.Count the splines, where the axles go in, on the diff buy a housing and axles from some one here.

hope thats some help

you can buy a pre fabed houseing and axles through a sponsor through moser, for around $1000. You can then get the center section rebuilt with quality parts, I would suggest putting in a Detroit tru-trac and getting the 31 spline axles to match. I'm sure some sponsors will chime in to help you out.

I would go to a rebutible shop to have your Center section rebuilt. You're looking at about $1800-$2000 to have the new houseing and axles and have your third member rebuilt.

Good luck!!

I would, You can use the center section and save yourself $400-500 then sell the houseing so some other guy can use it in a car thats easier to fab up. The new f-body and torque arm mount sucks to try and fab up, or trade it for a discount off your build up on your third member. I'm sure whoever you take it to would like to get there hands on a case.

Bob at EPP (A sponsor here) has the Moser housing and axles for this price.

Moser 9 Inch housing and axles with torque arm bracket
Your choice of axle spline
Narrowed housing, no extra charge.
$1,000.00 Free Shipping by UPS

That's a pretty good price considering the axles are about $400, that Torque arm bracket and hardware is about $150 the housing is around $600 and all the misc. other hardware is $50 or so. Make sure you call Bob and tell him your intentions and he'll hook you up in the right direction.

Like I said before, Get 31 spline axles and have that third member rebuilt with new 4.10 gears and a 31 spline Detroit truetrac. You'll be real happy. and save about $500 or more than doing a whole assembly.

might be worth buying, find out the gear ratio and the spline count either in the axles or the differential.

Thanks! We do sell a lot of Moser housing/axle packages at $1,000 shipped. All you need is the third member and some small misc items that I have outlined in the Moser section of my website, and this is ready to bolt into your car. Bob
