Default 12 bolt shortening?

Is it possible to have my Strange 12 bolt rear narrowed on both sides or do you have to order it that way from the manufacturer? I already have this 12 bolt, it's been in the car for years but would now like to narrow it. I simply don't want to have to go through selling this one, just to re-order a new one. I know that people are able to narrow the stock rears, but not sure on these aftermarket rears.

Thanks Bob. That's good to hear. I'm planning to go with deeper dish wheels in the rear. I'm kind of frightened to know what wheels and mini tubbing will set me back. Guess I just need to do this project gradually over time. But patience with my TA is not one of my strengths :O

Not sure what it would cost but you also would have to pay out extra to get your axels cut and re-splined. Might be cheaper to get new axels. Haven't compared prices. Probably cheaper to have them cut.

Moser does the axles as well, you're right, the two go hand in hand. It isn't that much money to have it done though. Give Moser a call at 260 726-6689. Bob

I'd hate to have to ship it cross-country though. Although, it sounds like it would be in really good hands over there. I really hope someone local could do this without treating it like rocket science.

Where are you from? I looked at your profile and you do not have much info there? Bob
