Default Help me out everyone!

My car is a 01 ta m6 that is a dd. It has the following h/c, lt's, cat y, k&n fipk, stb, lca's, sfc's on the stock 10 bolt. I'm currently at 410 hp and 395 tq.

I'm looking at buying these items within the next week:

Moser 12 bolt w/ truetrac ( I know I have a m6 and I should get a 9", but I think the 12 will do)
33 spline
either 3.73 or 3.42 gear (currently have 3.73's in stock 10 bolt)
lca reloc brackets
moser ds (steel 3.5")
spohn adj torque arm w/ front ds loop
3 channel (car doesn't have tc)
powder coated black

Sound good? Anything I need? Or should I change something? Is there a real concern with the torque arm causing a lot of stress on the housing (for the 12 bolt)? Will there be whining in both the 12 bolt and 9"? I'm still unsure of which to get (12 bolt or 9") I'm going to eventually put a 383 or 402 stroker in my car and I'm thinking the 9" should be the one I go with but I dunno. If I get the 9" I can only get a 31 spline with the truetrac, as with the 12 bolt I can up to a 33 spline with the truetrac but it's not as strong as the 9". This is aggravating! Both sound good so what's everyone got to say? Please help me decide!!!! Who has the best deal on these parts?

Thanks
Billy

The 9 inch with the Truetrac and 31 spline axles is a tough package, don't worry about the axles, they're strong!

Do you already have the Spohn torque arm? If not, I would suggest the BMR Tracpak TPU001. I prefer the way the Tracpak is mounted, and it is generally quieter. Bob

I see the BMR tracpak doesn't have an option for a ds loop. What can I do to get a ds loop on my car? Do they sell the loops seperate that can just be welded on or something?

We make our own driveshaft loop to work in conjunction with the trakpak. You might be able to get the Lakewood above to work. Bob

Ok Bob,

Here's my new list:

moser 9" with truetrac-$2400
31 spline
3 channel-$175
12 mm standard wheel studs
3.70 or 3.55 gears -I do a lot of street/highway driving
powder coated black-$200
lca relocation brackets-$100
fill and drain plug option-$70
total-$2945

*Are the extreme axles something that I need?
Is the nodular iron section with truetrac and pro-street gear $1375? (I'm probably misunderstanding this.)
Is the transmission crossmember for six speed m6 free?
I'm looking at getting that BMR TrackPac and ds loop you suggested. Are you 100% sure that ds loop will work?
~~~I got these prices from your site.~~~
Are the extreme axles something that I need? No, they are lighter but you don't need to have them.
Is the nodular iron section with truetrac and pro-street gear $1375? (I'm probably misunderstanding this.) This comes standard in the $2,400.00 package.
Is the transmission crossmember for six speed m6 free? No, transmission crossmember is offered with the standard Moser 9 inch rear. The transmission crosmember does come with the Moser M9 fabricated rear, as does the torque arm.
I'm looking at getting that BMR TrackPac and ds loop you suggested. Are you 100% sure that ds loop will work? No, but it should with a little modifying. Bob
OK thanks for clarifying Bob. I've called around locally and I've got what I think is a good deal on a 12 bolt. I would have to wait around a week, maybe a week and a half for a 9". A guy bought the 12 bolt about a week ago, but his car was stolen 3 days before it arrived. The 12 bolt has similar options as the 9": 31 spline, truetrac, and all the other goodies. Thanks to you I have a better understanding about these rear ends.
Not a problem, if it is a Moser 12 bolt then I would either double nut the four rear torque arm bolts, or tack weld the nuts to the bolts as they have a habit of coming loose. Bob
The oem 10 bolt uses tow long bolts that go all the way through, as does the Moser 9 inch. The Moser 12 bolt uses two bolts up top and two down below. They have historically worked loose for many, many people. We, as have many people have used loctite on them, and they still come loose. Bob
that's not good! I will be sure to check that out. Could I just get a longer bolt to use like the OEM ones? Or is it not possible?
I looked at midwest chassis and peformances' website and I didn't see an option for a 12 bolt, just a fab'd 9".
That is not possible, if it was, everyone would be doing it. Bob
