How to tell what series carrier you have.
I've found out that there are different series carriers for our cars I'm an a4 and I wanna go with 3:73's I have a diablo already. So is there a way to tell from our RPO codes in the glove box? Oh btw it's a 99
Thanks

You'll notice a huge difference going from 2.73's to 3.73's. I went with the 2 series Motive 3.73's (you'll need the 2 series in case you didnt know). I picked up 7 tenths with the swap and a 20 degree drop from seeing the track last.

It launches great. The rpms dont drop as much, meaning it stays more in the powerband. Even though I just have gears and a lid, it feels much different vs the 2.73's. I can roast them from a dead stop with ease. When I hit it from a stop and it goes to 2nd, it spins a little then hooks. Not too bad on a basically stock car. I only spent $355 for the ring and pinion, install, and fluids. Cheap mod for half a second!

stock a4. I ran 14.14 @ 100 bone stock. 14.04 @ 101 with a lid (temp was the same), then the temp dropped from 80 to 60ish, and with the gears I ran a 13.31 @ 104.9 first pass. 60ft didnt change from before the gears (2.1's) I barely stalled the car on takeoff, but no spinning. I was hoping for 13.50's, but I thought it might do a little better. Definitely a good mod!
