Default Need opinions on 9" options

Looking at the different choices in differentials.... it sounds like the Detroit lockers will change the handling ability of the car, as well as the spool option, so it sounds like my options are the Detroit trutrack or other posi unit, but how well do the trutrack or other posi units hold up to dragstrip action? I'd like to keep the drag strip action strong while also not losing handling ability... please help me out in this decision.

You'll be fine with a Detroit Tru Trac. Your not even close to the power level it would take to break one. If you put alot of daily driver style street miles on your car you don't want a locker or spool. Those can be driven on the street but like you stated your gonna lose some turning ability & be dragging tires around corners which will decrease your tread life.

^^Correct. But Midwest is working on comming out with a torque arm bracket to work with stock style applications.

And Midwests complete combo isn't much more than a standard posi 9" set-up from anywhere else except its custom fabbed & you get a crossmembers & torque arm with it.

We've seen the Truetracs handle 600 rwhp, that is what I would go with for your application. Bob
