Default posi tracton?

Just bought a 02 camaro ss le. I wanted to see what how it handles from a dead stop, full throttle. It left about 150ft of rubber on the right side only? I thought i would see two marks? The car only has 8500 miles on it and i had the TC turned off. Anyone have any thoughts to why??????

it's not a full locker. It's a limited slip. One wheel can spin on occasion, but if it does it constantly, then the differential is shot. The trademark of a 10 bolt......

IF it was driven too long like that, it will eventually tear up alot of things in your axle. been there and done that once

I was told all SS camaro's had positive traction or a limited slip rear end? Everyone i spoke too has said their car leaves two marks! I'll have to do some more investigating?

I have the same problem with mine. My rear end is a brand new GM 10 bolt with about 15,000 miles, it has never left two marks. I know I should've gone 12 bolt but I was not planning on taking the car this far. I just pucker my ******* everytime I get on it, waiting for the inevitable...

Get the non-drive tire wet and see waht happens. Sometimes it has to have enough slip for it to grab.

maybe the 1st owner broke the stock 10 bolt and swapped in a v6 rear (they have open diffs).

another good way to test it is to safely pull to the side of a road and get the wheel that doesnt typically spin in the gravel and take off. safely though
