Default 373's or 410's

I have an 2000 camaro SS with an M6. Slp cold air kit, and catback is about all the mods I have done as of right now. Still have the stock 10 bolt rear end. Starting to make a funny noise and Im wanting to do the rearend. This a daily driver and will see no strip time. Only some tireburning street racing from time to time. Wondering what gears to go with? Also what is a decent installation fee?

go 4:10 on the m6 cause you prolly already have 3.42's and a jump from them to 3.73's wouldnt be worthwhile

I love my 373s...ring and pinion on 410 is too small.

since its an m6 i would go with the 410's, the only thing is that its still a 10 bolt and depending on how you drive it, what kind of tires are on its not gonna live to long

If you never plan on taking it to the track, or running sticky tires ... I would say the 4.10s. They are great for M6s, but since they are thinner then stock they have a higher failure rate on 10-bolts.

If you ever plan to entertain the thought of going to the track or getting sticky tires, I would recommend the 3.73s.

Simple!

4.10s for the street and track for sure. But like others have said, when it comes down to the life of the rear, 4.10s will go out sooner. But they are great gears, and I wish I would have done these first.

4.10's but you could even go 4.30 or 4.56 and still keep good driveability. I would only go 3.73 or 3.90 if you run the 1/8th mile often

You do not realize....430/456 in a 7.5 rear is too small...ANY Reputable shop would NOT Install them even.....

4.10's just installed yesterday, nice bump from the 3.42's, you really feel the torque! I paid a little over $400 for the install.....labor,oils, slip additive and a crush sleeve, I supplied the gears, install kit, and TA diff cover. Some may say this is too much, but these guys are good. Go with someone who has a good rep, cause you'll get what you pay for. Go with Motive or GM gears.

I'd go 3.73's for a street car, especially if you won't take it to the track. And since it's a daily driver, even more reason for 3.73's, better highway gas mileage. I love my 3.73's, they're perfect for the street, and stronger than 4.10's.

Looking into the same swap for my 2000 WS6 with the M6. I was trying to decide between the Motive 3.90's or the Motive 4.10's. but leaning towards the 4.10's.
My WS6 only gets driven once in a while and I will take it to the track. I have started to have trouble with the rearend leaking fluid, so i figured while I was back there i would like to do the swap. Running Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar EMT 275/40/18 on 10.5 wide rims. Only cold air intake and flowmaster exhaust otherwise. Any opinions to make my decision easier? i am getting the impression 4.10s are the right choice.

4.10s are the way to go. got mine installed last year and havent had a problem since. just dont stick a sticky tire on and you should be good. ive been to the track and my rear hasnt blown yet so its all good. 3.73s are a waste if your going to spend the same amount of money for the set and install... why not make the car a little bit faster.

4.10s for the m6, great on the street and still ok with gas mileage, and its rips from a 45 roll
