Default Customer Car Build: 2010 Chevy Camaro - Kooks Exhaust - Cam

This story starts like any other, I was here at the shop one day and got a call from a customer who wanted his Camaro to "sound more like a drag car"... easiest thing in the world I whipped up a quote for him, and within 2 weeks the car was here ready to go.

Modifications:

- K&N Intake
- Kook's Long Tube Headers
- Kook's Off-Road Connection Pipes
- Kook's Cat-Back Exhaust
- Custom Grind Camshaft
- Dual Valve Springs
- Hardened Pushrods
- SLP 160 Degree Thermostat
- MSD Plug Wires
- NGK TR55 Spark Plugs
- Hurst Shifter
- ARP Harmonic Balancer Bolt
- Install by Chris
- HP Tuners tune by Ben

On to what we all came for... the pictures:

Just arriving in the shop, hood up checking out what we're dealing with...

Kinda like the pumpkin interior...

The shifter and wires posing for a photo shoot...

Teardown coming next...

Getting a couple of springs on there...

And now through the magic of televesion, err.... internet, all the valve springs are installed ready to rock

In this picture you can also see the Kook's headers installed... beautiful fit and quality...

Cam comes out next..

Haha, what kind of mods does your Camaro have to be putting down 430? That's pretty strong if it's just bolt-ons.

I prefer the OEM bolts and gaskets, over the Kook's supplied parts. There is a factory locking compound on the bolts too. Works very nice.
Sharp eyes will notice we converted it over to LS7 3 bolt cam and gear.
Comp was out of the single bolt cores for the custom cams, at the time with no eta.
Always use a new oil pump o-ring, and this LS3 used the thick o-ring, I had a new one in stock.

We know

So when are you getting the 5th gen?

On an unrelated note, I spoke to the owner of this car yesterday... Apparently he traded it in on a C6 Z06 recently. Look for the build thread
