Lsx or Lsa I'm rather new to this site, but have ventured over from C5. I am currently in a dilemma to choose a short block for my vehicle. I am looking at a 429lsx or a 419Lsa both built by livernois. I mentioned the LSA because I have been given an awesome deal on the block. I currently have tsp 255cc 6 bolt heads, a Century 4l80, 9" rear with 3.55 gear. I don't see myself going stupid with horsepower, but would like to run consistent 9s without issue. Any help with this decision would be greatly appreciated.

If the LSX will get you into 9's, who gives a **** about weight? When youre talking single digit runs, go with the strongest parts you can get. No sense doing it twice.
