As of right now Bogarts are the only true 17 inch wheels that will clear. CCW has not been able to confirm that there 17 inch Classic's will clear without modifications because they still need to test fit an SS which I have been patiently waiting for them to do, they keep telling me soon but it's been almost three weeks now and still getting the same answers soon. So I'm pretty much sold on Bogarts. Sorry CCW but you just lost a potential buyer and Bogarts customer service is much better

You're right, the CCW's on the LMR and LPE cars are 16" over V6 brakes. Supposedly Weld is coming out with an RT-S to fit over brembo's. They had the front done but the offset was off and they stuck out too far. I'm patientlly waiting for a set of Welds.

Hang tight guys we're working on doing some fitment testing right now. In about 2 weeks I should have a awesome option for both v6 & v8 brake guys. 17" or 18" wheels for v8 brakes, and who knows maybe a 15" option for the v6 brakes!!

Jason you come up with a way to put a 15 inch wheel on the back of the 5th gen car, and say a 17 inch weld wheel on a 5th gen you'll sell a million dollars worth of it in the next 2 years, whatever parts are needed. That I'm sure of.

Find a way to put a solid axle in the back at the same time, and I bet you sell 10 times more of it.

What size of tires are the ones you have in your set up?
Thanks

Aerospace is supposed to be coming out with a break set up for the car that is affordable and can fit the smaller rim...

We had the M&H front runners , but it really look bad being a short tire...........we took those off and are now running some michelin tires that are 27" tall. They are deff a heavier tire, but they look and ride a lot better.
What is your front wheel size? 17x5? What is the michelin tires size and type?

I would love to see this. So far I have only seen a 315 to ba able to fit on the back of a 2010. My Bogarts come in next week and I hope to order my tires next week as well. If the 325's really do fit I would love to order them. Is there any chance to see a photo of these?

Thanks,

Will the 17" Racestar's fit? I saw a SRT-8 owner running them with his big Brembo's and 17" Bogart's fit so maybe these will also?

Has anybody done a braking test when swapping over to the V6 brakes. I ask this because there is no improvement in the 60-0 braking distance on a stock GT500 with its tiny rear brakes vs swapping it to the Bear 6s that's used in the Supersnakes. Sure the 6s is better at road racing all day but it shouldn't matter in spirited driving or the occasional track day, because the 2011 GT500 seems to do just fine with its tiny rear brakes.

So a C5 17" set of rear wheels and 275 radials wouldnt fit on a 2012 SS would it? Haven't mocked them up yet to see if they clear the Brembo's

Any up dates?

Welds site says they have a 17" S71 that fits the 2010 Camaro. They don't say anything about the brakes or other modifications.

Weld 17" RT-S wheels will fit. If you have the front roller skate brake pads, they will have to be cut or changed. Likewise, if you are lowered, you will need BMR Adjustable LCAs to prevent rub or prepare for some LCA modification. Brake lines will need to be tied back as well.
