Default What Size Drag Wheels & Tires for the 2010?

My dad just got a 2010 SS and has already put an intake, exhaust and a 100 shot on it and is looking for a set of slicks now. Should he get 15x10 wheels? What backspacing? He has 550hp and 630ft/lbs of tq, should he go with a 26x10'' tire or a 28x10.5? Thanks for the help!

He is going to need an 18" rim to clear those brakes. I would get a tire with a height of about 28", much smaller and it will look stupid. A popular choice seems to be the 18" Z06 rims which only need a small spacer to bolt up, but I am not sure of the backspacing.

Ditch the brakes and put v6 brakes on it. Then you can run a 16" wheel.

I havent seen pictures of one yet with drag wheels. I'm guessing not to many people want to give up their brakes to fit a smaller wheel. Would look cool with some monster meats on the back i think though.

A 17x12 rear and 17x4 front CCW classic should also clear ....at least they DO clear the 06-10 Z06's 14" brakes . $2600 for just the wheels though . Theres alot of pretty serious 17 and 18 drag radial choices now at least . On the cheap side , your kinda at a loss other than the 18" Z06 Replica .

Damn , that stripe looks good on the crystal red SS ...only stripe combo on a 5th gen Ive actually liked .

I love & want the Bogarts, but I'm stuck with 18" C6 wheels with 315-35-18's on them. Once I get my 3.73's & have the shorter wheel, she should 60 really well. The wheels they are compared to are 305-35-20 Nitto 555r's, the 18's are Toyo Dr's, really like them so far. Sorry for the quality, Iphone pix.

I will end up with the bogarts one day soon.
