They have been selling more since they started discounting them to reasonable prices. I think simple economics have shown that the Camaro's MSRP isn't placed very well on the supply/demand line graph. I know you championed the value of these cars when they first came out, but even you waited for a near $11,000 discount before purchasing one. That isn't a bad thing, because who doesn't want to be $11,000 ahead in the game? But it does go to show that GM has priced the car out of the pockets of the majority of its fans and has began pushing it outside of the realm of "affordable performance."
$30,800 for a 1SS? Yeah, I'd take that deal, too, if I was looking.

True I do remember that.
I do think the car is worth what they are asking from a performance standpoint but the market as you said has proven it to be too expensive. It looks really great especially more so in person. Its not the interior and its definitely not the performance. I would say its the price for the most part.
I probably would have bought one for nearly full price if I would have had more money this past summer. But yes I am very happy I waited. I got about 9500 under msrp. Could not pass that up. I got it for 30,600 it was 8xx with doc and temp pates. MSRP was 40,030
The best used deal I could find was 30,999 lol.
