Default Hole in block (external pic), possible part out.

Thew a rod in the #6 cylinder I believe(@ 110,xxx miles)... It's up on the lift so I decided to get a picture of the damage... amazing how a tiny little hole can deem your motor inoperable. Getting a low mileage LS1 (roughly 60k miles, hopefully highway miles) to swap into her. Once it gets transplanted, I'll have the old motor to take home and teardown to see the extent of the damage. Still unsure whether or not the piston kept traveling and hit the head. I should have the new motor in and old motor at home in 2 weeks. ***Might part out the motor with a thrown rod, so if you need any OEM motor parts, stay tuned I might be your solution.

HAHA! Thanks! That's innovation right there, I think that's just what I'll do with the short block considering it's essentially just a piece of aluminum now hah. BTW how much does the LS1 shortblock weigh?

Yep, i've made a coffee table out of one. Set it upright and put some glass on top.

I made my mom a coffee table like the one my bandit posted with my ls1 when it died, had to put it on some rollers so she could move it around by herself. she really loves it she actually threw away our other coffee table. Lol
