Default engine swap ?s

Im going to be swapping a 2000 long block into my 98 and i was just wondering if some parts are the same. Do i need a different Oil pressure sending unit as well as knock sensors and harness because I see that there are 97-98 and 99+ parts. Also, because i have a 98 with the coils on the valve covers, caa i use the same coils and just get the brackets or do i need to get all new coils with the brackets already attached?

not only will you need a coil pack bracket or relocation kit but i would recommend getting a wiring harness for them aswell. i just installed some 806 parameter bolt heads and valve covers on my 02 (well worked over heads) and used the stock coil bracket. i was able to reuse my 02 coil harness but that made it difficult. the wires get stretched and really tight and they install in the reverse order as 99+

the computers being different shouldnt make a difference should it seeing as its the same motor?? I should have mentioned this but i have the 99+ valve covers already. So theres no way I can just get the brackets and see if theyll work and just mount them and plug them in?

you can reuse the coils as long as you get the 99+ bracket. and the coil harness is reusable aswell

You will have to reuse the sensors off the 98. The watertemp on a 98 has 3 wires and the later models had 2. A 99 CPU is wired different than a 98s. So your gonna have to keep the 98s cpu and wiring, reuse your 98s sensors and you might have to put the 98s injectors on it also. They are 28.5# and I think the 99s went to 26# injectors.
