Default anything is possible?

OK, here goes. I have stalked this site for years and never posted, but I really want your guys opinion on what I am wanting to accomplish. Is it even possible? I want the best of three worlds;
1) a streetable pump gas car.
2) an 8 second drag car.
3) 200 MPH Tx mile car.
I would like to do this by only a gear change between events, an automatic transmission, and a budget of 25k. The car is a 98 Z28 roller, all complete except motor, trans, and ,ecm/harness. So, what kind of HP numbers to do this? What would you suggest for engine set up, suspension. I want to do all the set up myself except for the dyno and tuning. I am a capable fabricator.

Usually a car that is in the 8s and still streetable will def need a budget higher then that IMO. It also depends on what your opinion of a streetable car is

Anything is possible if you have the cash. Look at Batman and Ironman, they bought their own super powers For real though, you will need more than 25k most likely.

My definition of streetable is, can drive it in town or down the interstate without overheating. My thoughts were 427-454 lsx block, big afr heads, fast 102, twin turbos, 4l80, 9 inch rear, maybe in the 1000 hp range. Dont forget, I can build it, I just cant dyno and tune it.

That sounds like a little more then 25k their, then you would have to include all of the fab and suspension work which would be pretty extensive even if you can do it all yourself the parts and materials would still cost.

Thanks for the link Latch. That is one bada** bird. After looking at his laundry list I should probably add another 10-15K to my price at least! Wow I really dont want to drop 50K on a toy, but I would get the enjoyment of building it myself Im gonna talk to him and see if he will come down, although i only got about 18K in hand. Maybe he is willing to deal? By the way is that the real David Childress?

Yes that's David, he's a friend of mine. He is willing to deal but he isn't letting it go for 18 I can tell you that... but yeah, it's gonna cost a LOT more than 30k to build a car like that. I don't know how much David has in his car but I know it's a lot more than 50k.

As a general rule, you can't build a car that's fast, cheap, AND reliable. You can only have two.
