Still some hope out there
Just figured id share this.
But driving around town, its kinda nice when younger kids, like 7-13 years old stare at your car and give you thumbs up or go "nice are" or "sweet ride".
Or for example the little kid riding with his grandpa when I was going to the strip, he kept pulling himself up above the door to look out the window with the biggest grin on his face when he was staring at the T/A.
Just kinda nice that there are still kids out there that see a nice car and appreciate it......maybe fast n furious movies havent completely ruined people....im only 25...not really old but not to young, and I grew up around my dads friends and their muscle cars.

I agree with you, its pretty cool when kids get excited and yell stuff at you when your driving through the neighborhood. Same thing happen to me the other day and it just brings back memories when i was a child and saw a nice loud muscle car drive by. I would say to myself one day ill have one. I just give them a rev and keep going. That made my day when i was a kid and i got a rev.

oh and the other day was following an older mustang into town (I think early mid 70's). Older couple probably mid late 50's in it, the wife was driving it. Got by each other at a stop light, turned green heard hear smash the gas, so I got on it even though she got the jump on me...but caught right up. They were in the left lane, and I looked over and the guy was giving me a thumbs up...that made my day.

It's all ages for me too. Almost every time I take the car out it gets a compliment. yesterday a guy in bis 60's pulled into the adjacent gas pump lane and said, "Gawd dang, is that the original paint? That car is nice." I do keep it as close to show quality as possible at all times but the compliments never get old.

It makes all the effort to clean it and keep it looking nice worth it.

I know the feeling. My 9 yr old nephew got in my car, as we drove for about 45 minutes, he couldn't stop gawking at everything, and asking me 100 questions. The conversation ultimately ended with, "this is the coolest car ever, when I grow up I want one just like this."
