Why not call your agent and get a quote? Rates depend on more than just your age, location and the car in question - they also depend on your record. Nobody can give you a 100% certain number except for an agent.

Too many variables as previously stated, it depends on credit, driving history, length of history, lein or owned, gender, location, vehicle type, etc....
As easy as it is to do online insurance quotes just do one of those. Hope you didn't buy the car yet before checking insurance bc you may be in for a scary reality.

You're going to have full coverage insurance on the car and most likely the financial institute that's lending you the money will need the insurance info at the time of signing. Some do, some don't....mine just let me call them the next day. But full coverage isn't going to be cheap on a z06 at your age even with a perfect driving record. If you're an honor student it will drop it a little, good luck!

I'm 44 now...I couldn't even buy my first V6 '96 Camaro until I turned 25 due to the insurance cost...as a matter of fact, I bought that Camaro new, less than a week after I turned 25...it wasn't the price of the Camaro that I couldn't afford before 25, it was the insurance I couldn't afford!
Of course now, I only pay $500 a year on my Z28 with Hagerty... that's full coverage and an agreed upon value of $16K. You won't get that kind of rate until you're MUCH older...

That price isn't just due to age though, there are several conditions and limitations with that sort of policy which disqualify many individuals, based on vehicle usage/purpose, regardless of their age. I have the same sort of policy through Grundy, it's only about ~$350/year for my Z28 with about $24k of coverage (I started it much lower, but their inflation guard program has bumped it up over the years with only marginal increases in premium, so I've left it in place so far.) Rates are even better on the over-25/Antique cars; my Nova is covered for $35k at a cost of only ~$250/year.

Insurance companies don't give a rats *** how much you make or how much money you put down on the car.
Only thing they care for is you as the driver (age, sex, driving record) and the car.
And by that, you're going to pay out of your ***. Probably more than what your car payments and gas are.

Just my 2 cents, a teenager doesn't need a Corvette. When I was a teenager my first car was my 1994 v6 Firebird. I didn't get a v8 until I was 21. I'm sure full coverage insurance (since you would have a loan) will be a killer.

I looked into this at 16. Found a beautiful black Z28 and the price was right, however the cost of the insurance was the sole reason why I didn't get the car. The monthly insurance payment was barely less than the car payment.
Looking back, it's a good thing I didn't have one of these at 16. It would've ended with the car wrapped around a tree.
