Default LS6 intake on an LQ9

I'm new to the LS world. I have an LQ9 engine. What are the steps to put an LS6 intake on this engine?

The truck intake is actually better.

There are probably 564987 how tos out there on putting a car intake on a truck engine.
Look and see what needs to be done about the water pump and belt tensioner.

I'm not sure if there would be any difference between an LQ4 vs LQ9 (I don't think there is as far as the block and mounting accessories), but my ls6 intake bolted right up to my 6.0 LQ4 along with everything else off my ls1. Only mod I had to do was drill and tap for my alternator.

Edit: I should have made it clear that I used all of my ls1 accessories and stuff for everything to line up correctly.

I am getting to the point where I am going to have to figure this out for my lq9. I was planning on using all my ls1 accessories as well but I kept reading about clearance issues between the ls6 intake and the water pump. you are saying that everything bolted up and lined up fine for you using ls1 set up though correct? except for the alternator. what did you do for engine mounts? Is there anything else you can think of that I might run into? I basically just have my engine assembled except for accessories.

I took everything off of my ls1 that came on it, put it all onto my 6.0, and now it's all on my 5.3. So basically all I did was swap blocks with the different internals, but everything bolted right up and ran like it did from the factory with the only modification being the hole needed to be drilled/tapped for the alternator. Zero clearance issues with the intake, water pump, and everything else. Just take everything you took off of your ls1 and bolt it right back to the 6.0, enjoy the power

You can use your truck accessories if you swap water pumps and get a pulley relocator.

You either need an LS1 water pump with spacers, or an LS3 water pump.

Thanks a ton for the info. I was thinking that it should work, I'm glad you were able to confirm it for me and save a little time.
